Love is a Disease of the Heart
Love is a disease of the heart,
A feeling that tears us apart,
It makes us fall for someone so hard,
And leaves us broken, and deeply scarred.
We try to resist, to shake it off,
But it seems impossible, too tough,
Love takes hold, it won’t let go,
Our hearts beat, a restless flow.
It’s like a fever that burns so bright,
A bond that we cannot fight,
We become slaves to its charm,
And surrender to its loving harm.
Love is a disease, so they say,
It infects our souls in every way,
Yet despite the pain and the tears,
We still long for it through the years.
And though it may bring us to our knees,
We can’t deny its magic, its ease,
For love, we’ll take the risk, the chance,
And forever, in its grace, we’ll dance.
